"Disappointed" 2009-01-08 By A. Young (Pennsylvania)
I really thought this would be fun, but it's not. It requires constant watering to keep the seeds moist. The seeds at the bottom are growing fine but the ones on the top 1" are hardly growing. The water doesn't stay filled at that point and the seeds dry out. Also the plant only lasts 4 weeks according to the instructions and then you have to buy more seeds and replant.

"Fun and easy to grow" 2008-12-10 By D. Besaw (Fort Myers, FL)
Bought this on sale at CVS. Very fun and easy to grow and the included color changing star light is beautiful. Not to mention that it has a color changing LED inside, no bulb to burn out.

Highly recommended for those who would like a (somewhat) real Christmas tree but without the hassles and the mess of a conventional tree.

Also a personal observation, I noticed the Chia sprouts have a rather weird smell to them.

"Very dissapointed" 2009-10-30 By JudyAnne (Concord, NC, USA)
I did everything I was suppose to do, and I came up with nothing. I was so dissapointed. I was looking forward to growing my own herbs. What a waste.

"Works in the short term, but not for long term use" 2009-05-04 By bodiemonster (Pittsburgh PA)
This seemed like an easy way to get started growing herbs for cooking. They grew quickly and we used them, however, once they were ready to move into a larger container (2-3 months), they started to die. Also, I noticed flies (like "fruit flies") appear and sprayed them with organic plant bug killer. About two weeks later I noticed white/translucent worms in the sponge they originally grew in. I threw them away immediately.

Seems like they should be able to be removed from the sponge since the roots were strong. But, the instructions said to keep them in the sponge when re-plating into a larger container.
